PRE-ORDER FOR FALL 2025: 1"-2.5" Black Crappie
NOTE: THIS IS A PRE-ORDER ITEM. Crappie will be shipped beginning September 2025. You will be notified of your ship date at least 1 week in advance.
Black crappie do not produce as many eggs as white crappie and are therefore better suited to fishing ponds; however, we do not recommend placement of crappie in extremely small ponds due to their ability to reproduce rapidly and overpopulate. If placed in a pond, they need to be culled on a routine basis to keep numbers in check. Black crappie serve as both predator and prey because they feed on small fish and produce large numbers of offspring.
